The Tillingbourne Brewery (visit the Tillingbourne Brewery website here) opened its doors to discerning lovers of quality craft ale in December 2011. Based in the picturesque village of Shere in the Surrey Hills, with a deserved reputation for brewing the finest beer infused with hops of distinction, you’ll find their top quality craft ale on the pumps at the Langton.
Brewery co-owner and Langton resident Lee is proud to have such a traditional Surrey pub as the flagship for showcasing Tillingbourne Brewery’s real ales. ‘Hop Troll’, ‘AONB’, ‘Falls Gold’, ‘The Source’, ‘Summit’ (supporting the National Trust celebrating 250 years of Leith Hill) and ‘Black Troll’ are all award-winners in their own right and you’ll always find the latest new brew on tap at the Langton – something for every taste.
If you can’t get to the brewery to sample their beers, then the Langton is the best place to grab a pint and a bite to eat anytime of the year. In summer bask in the sunshine on our patio area and when the weather isn’t so welcoming warm up inside by our woodburners. Like an offer? Don’t miss Tillingbourne Tuesdays when all Tillingbourne beers are priced at £3.50 or under.
Whenever possible we feature guest beers from neighbouring independent breweries across Surrey and the south east of England. In line with our commitment at the beer festivals we run, we are proud to support our fellow local business owners and producers.
And then there’s Gin. There has to be Gin. With a capital G naturally. Gin from as many independent distilleries as we can fit on our shelves (35 at current count…). Juniper rich Gin. Gin with coriander, lemon, liquorice, cardamom, lemon grass, lavender, basil – so many botanicals.
So many varieties to sample, including local Silent Pool (Visit the Silent Pool Distillery website here) and our very own brand. And then there’s the tonic.
Only the best at the Langton Inn so it has to be FeverTree, made with natural quinine. Join us at the bar – we’re happy to spend some time to get the mix right for you.
